Safety First: Closure of Our Park’s Thru-Road

Why the Thru-Road is Closing at the Park

Over time, the thru-road has created safety concerns for visitors. Even with posted limits, some drivers use it as a shortcut, putting families, walkers, cyclists, and wildlife at risk.

Traffic has also taken a toll on the park itself. As a nonprofit, we don’t have the resources to keep up with the constant damage to the road, posts, trees, and landscaping—especially when accidents occur.

Making the Park Safer for Everyone

Closing the thru-road permanently wasn’t an easy choice, but it’s the right one. Without daily traffic cutting through, the park can return to being the safe, peaceful place it was meant to be.

What This Change Means for You

  • Closure signs and barriers are there for everyone’s safety—please respect them.

  • Use nearby roads instead of driving through the park.

  • Share this information so others know why the change is happening.

Thank You for Supporting This Step Forward

We’re here to provide green space and quiet enjoyment for the whole community. By closing the thru-road, we’re protecting visitors, preserving the park’s beauty, and making sure it stays a safe haven for years to come. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.
